Chris Artingstall


Chris ArtingstallChris Artingstall has worked for the Rowe Veterinary Group since graduating from the Liverpool Vet School in 1984. His special interests include exotic animal medicine and surgery and as well as being a dog and cat lover he is known for seeing many reptiles, tortoises and all sorts of small furry pets.

Chris was the chief Veterinary Officer for Bristol Zoo for over a decade. He is the partner in charge of our Wotton Under Edge Hospital and, as well as seeing pets for routine vaccinations and treating them when they are ill Chris is a very experienced surgeon with good technical skills in theatre so able to mend fractures and other difficult operations such as ligament repairs. Chris has a reputation locally for treating Llamas and Alpacas which have recently become more popular in this area.

Chris has three labradors Teasel, Ginny and Lottie, the latter renowned for eating anything within reach, recently chewing at a pair of very good quality leather shoes!  Chris enjoys ski-ing and squash and in his spare time plays cricket for a local village side with his sons James and Will.
